Troubleshooting the
Electronic Registration Software
After you have
downloaded and installed the Electronic Registration Software
(PRAY) if you have trouble when trying to submit your order, you
may receive one of the following messages. Please follow the
instructions below to try to resolve your ordering issue.
Error
Message: "Transfer Unsuccessful, please try again."
Because
firewalls restrict communication between your computer and the
Internet, you might need to adjust settings for some other
programs that prefer an open connection. You can make an
exception for these programs, so that they can communicate
through the Windows Firewall. You may need to make an
exception on your Firewall for the PRAY program to complete a
file transfer. The following instructions are for the
Windows Firewall. If you have other Firewall programs or
Anti-Virus programs, you may need to refer to its help
instructions to allow file transfers. If you are trying to
submit an order from a network with high security, such as your
workplace, you may want to try the program from home instead.
Some networks will not allow users other than administrators to
make adjustments to the firewall settings.
To add a
program to the exceptions list on Windows
Firewall:

Click
Start and then click Control
Panel. |

2. |
In the
control panel, click Security Center,
and then click Windows Firewall
in the "Manage Security Settings for:"
section. |
|
3. |
On the
Exceptions tab, under Programs
and Services, select the check box
for the program (PRAY) that you want to
allow, and then click OK. |

If the
program (PRAY) that you want to allow is not
listed:
|
1. |
Click
Add Program. |
|
2. |
In the
Add a Program dialog box, click
the program that you want to add, and
then click OK. The program will
appear, selected, on the Exceptions
tab, under Programs and Services.

3. |
Click
OK and try submitting your order
again. |

|
|
|
If you
still receive this error message, you may
need to completely turn OFF your firewall
and any other anti-virus programs
temporarily. Try submitting your order
again. Don't forget to turn anything
back ON that you turned OFF to submit your
order. |
|
Error
Message: "Connection cannot be established."
1. If you
receive this message you may not have an active internet
connection. Try opening a browser window and making sure
you can browse the Internet and try submitting your order again.
2. This
message may also appear as a result of an old version of our
software download. You may need to visit our website at
www.praypub.org and
download the latest version of the software and start your order
over.
3. If you
still receive this message, there may be an error with the
server on our end. Please try submitting your order again
later.
Error
Message: "Missing Entries"
Every field
must be complete before you can submit your order. Clicking
Submit Order will alert you to any incomplete fields. A MISSING
ENTRIES list will appear if you have left any fields blank.
Clicking on an item in this list will take you to the blank
field. The blank fields will appear in red. You will not be able
to submit your order until all the fields have been filled in.
It is possible that you may have an extra entry in your youth
participant list. Check to see that there are no blank
spaces in your list of kids and if there are, click on the blank
line in the list of names and click the Delete button.
Error
Message: "This order has already been submitted to the P.R.A.Y.
office."
You will
receive this message if you have previously used the software to
place an order and did not click the "Start New Order" button
before placing a new order. The "Start New Order" button
will clear all old order data and allow you to use the program
again. If you simply change entries from the first order
to the new order information, you will not be able to submit the
new order. You must clear all old order information first
by clicking the "Start New Order" button each time you want to
place an order.
Message:
"Transfer Completed: Your order has been sent the P.R.A.Y. office
for review."
Your order
has been sent to the P.R.A.Y. office for review. If there
are any discrepancies with your order, we will hold it until you
have been contacted. Please provide daytime contact information
in case we have any questions on your order.
Approved
orders received by 12pm CST will be processed and shipped the
same business day. You will receive a confirmation email at the
close of the business day.
